Juhu Beach is the most popular beach in Mumbai city situated on the shores of Arabian Sea in Juhu suburb at a distance of 18km from downtown Mumbai. The beach has a stretches of silver sand along 5km.

Many tourists visit the beach when they come to Mumbai, as it is a relatively uncrowded free space in the city, although it does get crowded in the evenings and weekends. Street food like bhelpuri, pani puri, chaats, and pav bhaji is very famous here.


There are three main entrances to the beach. One is from Vile Parle, another is from the Santacruz and the third is from the Andheri side.

At the north end of Juhu Beach there is a place called Gandhi Gram. Mahatma Gandhi used to live there when he practiced in the Bombay high court in the late 1800s and early 1900s.

During the summer vacations, children often go and play games such as Cricket, football , Basketball at the Juhu Beach.The beach activity is fun horse rides, miniatures ferris wheel, entertainers from acrobats to performing and ballon shooting galleries.
